The display on the Dell Inspiron is 15.6 inches, has a full HD resolution and a wide angle, anti-glare screen. Whilst the processor in the Dell Inspiron I7559-763BLK isn’t the best in the world, it’s more than capable for gaming and coupled with the GTX 960M GPU, you’re bound to get great frame rates in most modern PC games.

If you are an Apple fan, you may prefer to pick up the Apple MacBook Air MMGF2LL/A

Whilst you may be able to get more powerful hardware on Windows, this option is one of the better entry level MacBook Airs. 3. ASUS Zenbook UX305LA
The ASUS Zenbook UX305LA
is a laptop that has enough hardware to be able to deal with basic computing tasks, low end gaming and a bit of video processing and whilst it’s not as capable as the Dell at number one on this list, it’s at a lower price point. The ASUS Zenbook UX305LA has a 13.3-Inch full HD IPS display and an incredibly slim build. At just 6 inches thin and 2.86lbs in weight, the ASUS Zenbook UX305LA is one of the lightest laptops available. On the inside the UX305LA is powered by an Intel Core i5-5200U 2.2GHz Broadwell processor, 8GB RAM, a 256GB Solid State Drive and Intel HD graphics. If you want a gaming laptop, there are much better options on this list but as an ultra portable laptop the ASUS ZenBook UX305LA is very capable.

is a mid-range laptop designed for everyday gamers. Thanks to it’s great hardware, you’ll be able to get a steady frame rate in the latest AAA titles with the ASUS K501UX but it’s also more than capable of playing some of the more popular video games, including Counter Strike, League of Legends and Dota 2. is considered the best all round option available from HP in 2016 and it comes with a lot of functionality. Whilst not strictly a gaming laptop, the HP Pavilion 15.6″ Flagship Laptop has enough hardware to be used for some gaming and it’s capable of being a work powerhouse for college, your job or anything else. The 15.6 inch display is full HD and it also backs up as a touch screen. On the inside, the HP Pavilion 15.6” flagship laptop is powered by an Intel Core i7-6700HQ Skylake processor. The Intel HD 530 graphics are provided alongside the CPU. This laptop is designed for work and other tasks and it’s more capable at this than the gaming laptops on this list thanks to it’s i7 processor. This laptop also comes with 8GB of DDR3L 1600MHz RAM, a 1TB hard drive and a CD/DVD drive.

6. 2016 Model Dell Inspiron 15
If the Pavilion listed above is a bit out of your price range then the cheaper 2016 Model Dell Inspiron 15
may be a better choice for you. This laptop has been designed to be competent and capable with office tasks, work, college work and everyday browsing but it’s hardware is more than enough for playing a few simple games too. The hardware inside this laptop is not as impressive as some of the previous laptops in this list but for the $500 price tag it’s very reasonable. The Dell Inspiron 15 comes with a 15.6” full HD display with 10 finger touch support, an Intel Core i5-4210U 1.70 GHz processor, 8GB of DDR3L 1600MHz RAM, Intel HD 4400 graphics, a 1TB hard drive and support for DVDs, CDs and a microSD card.

7. ASUS F555LA-AB31
The ASUS F555LA-AB31
is our first low end laptop on this list and whilst it is considered low end, it’s only just on the border and can be compared to some mid-range laptops in 2016. The ASUS F555LA-AB31 can be picked up for between $350 and $450 and it comes with the hardware you’d expect to see for this price range. The ASUS F555LA-AB31 isn’t very good for gaming but office work, homework or basic browsing is a breeze. The F555LA-AB31 comes with a 15.6″ full HD display, an Intel Core i3-5010U 2.1GHz Broadwell processor, 4GB of DDR3L RAM, a 500GB hard drive and a CD/DVD drive. This laptop does not come with touch screen support, unlike others on this list.

8. HP 15-F211WM
We’re really starting to get into the low end models now, but despite the low price point of under $300, the HP 15-F211WM
still has a large 15.6” display with touch control, unlike the ASUS laptop listed above. The hardware in the HP 15-F211WM is a little limited but you’ll be fine with basic browsing and office work. On the inside of the HP 15-F211WM you will find an Intel Celeron N2840 Dual core processor, 4GB of DDR3L RAM and a 500GB hard drive. As you can imagine, this kind of hardware is not going to be useful for playing games, but for basic web browsing this machine is perfect. Despite the bad name Celeron processors used to get in the past, they are now more than capable and can perform well against i3s and AMD equivalents.

9. Acer Chromebook CB3-111-C670
If you want something super portable that can be strictly used for browsing the web and completing work then the Acer Chromebook CB3-111-C670
may be a good choice for you. On the inside, the Acer Chromebook CB3-111-C670 is very lacking but it’s not that important because the device is running Chrome OS. This laptop can only use Google’s apps such as Google Drive or Google Notes and it can only use the Chrome web browser. However, this laptop costs just $169.99 and it works better than many other new laptops at that price point. On the inside you will get an Intel Celeron 2.16 GHz Processor, 2 GB DDR3L RAM and 16GB of solid state storage. The 16GB may sound like little but if you use Google’s apps, nearly everything can be uploaded and stored online.

10. Toshiba Satellite C55-C5241
To end it all off we have a laptop that is capable of doing it all. The Toshiba Satellite C55-C5241
is a jack of all trades – it has enough hardware to be useful for gaming, video processing, office work and basic web browsing and its price point is right in the middle of all of the laptop prices on this list at $469-$500. The Toshiba Satellite C55-C5241 comes with a 15.6 inch HD display, an Intel Core i5-5200U Processor, integrated Intel HD 5500 Graphics, 8GB DDR3L RAM and a 1TB hard drive.
